National Puppy Day, Denver’s for the Dogs

How lucky are we to live in a place that is just so doggone, dog friendly? In honor of National Puppy Day, here is a list of just some of the reasons why Denver really rocks for our four-legged friends. We know you dog lovers all too well…

  • Hiking and snowshoeing are beyond accessible and your dog loves doing outdoorsy exercises. You make it a point to visit the mountains just for their benefit. Luckily, a number of awesome trails are just outside of the city. Pick one, explore, and watch their tail wag the entire day.

  • Restaurants and bars are chosen based on their patio situation… and patios are aplenty. Denver knows that brunching without your puppy pal is just not gonna happen. And thank God for breweries. These are staple choices,  mostly because you can count on them to be dog friendly (and you love good beer).

  • You have the outmost appreciation for Denver’s park system. Sure, before you enjoyed playing volleyball, hanging out with your friends, and soaking up the sun at one of the city’s many grassy areas. But now those little pockets of land mean so much more. Nothing compares to a lifestyle that allows one to live in the heart of the city while still being able to easily reach an open, green space.

  • You can literally shop with your dog.  Local boutiques in nearly any neighborhood are welcome to letting your favorite friend into their storefronts. Especially the local liquor stores. These small business owners just get it, you know?
  • And, as continually highlighted in our beautiful state; no matter if your dog is a snow hound or a sun-basker, there is literally a climate for any canine. Happy National Puppy Day!
