When it comes to Christmas gatherings and events, the malls around the Denver Metro seem to be the host of all the commotion. But what better way to get in the Christmas spirit than a little mall shopping with some holiday backdrop to really make the atmosphere bright?
Down South on I-25, all the way up North on the same interstate. We have a holiday round-up for the Outlets at Castle Rock, Park Meadows Mall and the Orchard Town Center. Attend any of these fun events with your family (some even include your dog) and get in the spirit of Christmas!
ORCHARD TOWN CENTER – HOLIDAY MAGIC
The Giving Tree: November 12 – December 4 | Partnering with A Precious Child, The Orchard helps to provide families in need with gifts for the holidays. Visitors can grab a tag from the tree with a child’s wish inside Grandrabbit’s Toy Shoppe and return unwrapped gifts to Guest Services. Volunteers will be promoting the tree at Grandrabbit’s Toy Shoppe on the following dates and times:
Letters to Santa: November 12 – December 20 | Visitors can drop letters in the mailbox under the grand holiday tree on the Splash Pad – they might even receive a reply from the Big Guy!
Photos with Santa: November 12 – December 24 | This year, families can come take their own photos with Santa in his house under The Orchard’s tree. He will be in for photos select weekends in November and on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays in December from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and December 24 from 11 a.m. 2 p.m.
Shop Small Weekend: November 25 – November 27 | With over 40 small businesses, customers are encouraged to shop local at The Orchard for Small Business Saturday. If a customer spends $100 at any combination of small businesses over the entire weekend, they can show their receipts to Guest Services for a $20 Orchard restaurant gift card.
Carriage Rides: December 2 – December 18 | Take a ride around the Town Center to view all the twinkling holiday lights! Hop on the horse-drawn carriage that picks up in Macy’s courtyard on W 146th Ave. Carriage rides are free and will be available December 2-18 on Fridays from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Holiday Handmade Makers Market: December 2 – December 18 | The OTC is expanding their holiday market this year over three weekends and including shop and sip with craft cocktails. Head over to their Holiday Handmade Market to purchase gifts created by 60 local artisans. It will be a great mixture of art, music and culture. Located across from lululemon, the market will take place Fridays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturdays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Santa Paws: December 3, 11am – 6pm | Pups can visit Santa too! Well-behaved dogs are welcome to Santa’s house for their photo op, participate in giveaways and get a treat from the big man himself. Free professional photos will be taken from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., with treats and giveaways while supplies last Bring your furry friend to Windfall Brewing Company’s heated patio for $1 off a draft beer.
Breakfast with Santa: December 10, 9am – 10:30am | All aboard the Polar Express to Windfall Brewing Company where Santa is hosting a special breakfast. Sip cocoa with Santa and enjoy a special showing of the Polar Express. Learn more and reserve your spot here.
Cocoa & Carols with Mrs. Claus: December 10-11. 11am – 1pm | Mrs. Claus is making a special appearance at The Orchard’s Holiday Handmade Market to read stories and sing carols with a cup of hot cocoa from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will roam around the market from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. to take photos.
Chanukah Celebration: December 20, 5:30pm – 6:30pm | Families can come and celebrate Chanukah with The Orchard’s Grand Menorah Lighting Celebration with live music, latkes, donuts, hot beverages and a variety of performances. Hosted by The Chabad of NW Metro Denver in loving memory of Jessica Ridgeway on The Orchard’s entertainment stage.
Free Gift Wrap: November – December | Any customer who spends over $20 at The Orchard can have their presents wrapped for free at guest services with custom holiday gift wrap!
PARK MEADOWS MALL
Black Friday Shopping: November 25 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. | Visitors can get a head start on their holiday shopping at Park Meadows retail resort during these extended hours.
Pet Night With Santa: Mondays November 21– December 5 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. | Shoppers can get their furry friends together to strike a pose with St. Nick, capturing paw-fect holiday moments to share with family and friends! Reservations can be made here.
Santa Cares Day: December 4 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. | Children within all spectrums of special needs and their families are welcome to a sensory-friendly visit for fun family photos with Santa! Reservations can be made here.
KOSI Holiday Ugly Sweater Contest: December 1011 a.m. – 1 p.m. | Join KOSI 101’s Melissa Moore and Jenny Hopkins for an Ugly Sweater Contest. Categories include Merriest Men’s, Wackiest Women’s, Prettiest Pet’s and Best DIY. Winners will get an $100 gift cards towards shops at Park Meadows!

Santa’s Big Day: December 3, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. | Santa’s Big Day at Outlets at Castle Rock will feature a pancake breakfast where shoppers can participate in exchange for a toy donation or an unwrapped and new gift item, which will go towards the Holiday Toy Drive for Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children. There will also be carolers, ice skating performances, face painting, balloon artists, and holiday characters!
Rally to Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children: Dec 10 | Toy caravan filled with donations will participate in a parade from Ferrari of Denver to Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children.
